COMPANY HISTORY
By working for multiple insurance companies, our Agents have gained many experiences and knowledge in regards to keeping you and your family safe! Although names and faces have changed over the years, this agency's commitment to provide affordable coverage with exceptional service has not, and will not, ever change.

Konhaus Agency
Our agency was founded by H.R. (Tim) Konhaus in 1939. Mr. Konhaus was a local funeral director and a respected community leader. He is fondly remembered by many of our older clients.

Konhaus-Meyers Agency
​
In 1954, D. Jay Meyers joined the Konhaus Agency with Tim, which then formed Konahus-Meyers Agency. Jay continued with the agency until his sudden passing in 1975.

Konhaus-Robertson Agency
From 1977-2001, Richard P. Robertson (Dick) owned and operated the Konhaus/Robertson agency here in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania. However, Dick retired from the business in 2001 after he sold the business to Blake D. Henry and Mario J. Ferretti.

BDH/Konhaus LLC
Blake D. Henry and Mario J. Ferretti purchased the agency from Dick Robertson in 2001. In September of 2007, Mario passed away and Blake purchased his interests into the business, which now has formed into BDH/Konhaus LLC.

BDH/Konhaus LLC is licensed to conduct business in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and Ohio.

Here at BDH/Konhaus we represent several solid and well respected insurance carriers such as Erie Insurance, Progressive, Rockwood Insurance, Agency Insurance Company, Foremost Insurance Group, and Millville Mutual. These companies have exceptional track records in regards to caring for our client's during any tragedies and/or fatalities.
